About the department
Obstetrics and Gynecology Department is one of the academic departments in the faculty of medicine and clinical departments in the university hospital It includes an elite group of faculty and doctors, all of whom provide distinguished academic and clinical services in all specialties of obstetrics and gynecology
The department supervises the teaching of Obstetrics and Gynecology curriculum in the fifth year for students of the Faculty of Medicine. It also participates in teaching some basic and elective sciences. It also provides basic training for internship physicians from inside and outside King Abdulaziz University
The department also supervises the full recognition of the Specialization Certificate Program training of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, and it recently started the 1st ob gyn fellowship at the city of Jeddah in Urogynecology.
The department also has distinguished contributions in scientific research and supervision of postgraduate students, and its members have distinguished
contributions at the administrative level and community service. Many of them also contributed to the establishment and chanting of scientific units and societies in the field of specialization and others.
